Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions
Will I lose my benefits if a job doesn’t work out?
Not automatically. Right to Try is intended to give people greater confidence to explore work without fearing that simply attempting employment will result in the loss of their benefits. However, you should always report relevant changes in circumstances.
Do I still need to tell the DWP if I start work?
Usually, yes. You must continue to report changes when required under the rules of your benefit claim.
Can I still be reassessed?
Yes. Right to Try does not stop scheduled reviews or reassessments that take place for other reasons.
