 Residential care for mental health

If you have a mental illness, you may find it difficult to live in your own home, even with help or support – if this is the case, you may need to stay in residential care accommodation, commonly called a ‘care home’.  

You can get care all day and night if you are in a care home and there are different types of care homes to support different needs. The care home you live in may depend on things such as your age or your needs.
